WE WERE ON A BREAK

This is me, today. A beautiful polaroid-image and not blurry at all.

I got the urge to write again. I want to start blogging so bad, but the more I postpone it, the better it has to be. More brilliant than before, with a new design and something amazing to say!

Honestly, I have written this first post over and over again these last couple of weeks, but never posted any of them. Also, strangely enough, I don't like the idea that people can read about my everyday-doings, just like that. Which is, I know, the essence of blogging.

But why don't I just start like this, today? Honest and simple, no big deal. So; I hereby declare the same old Under Construction as REOPENED! YaaayI do have a few big plans for you and me, and 2014, you'll be a motherfucker and I can't wait to see what you have to offer.

STEAL

Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is nonexistent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery—celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: «It’s not where you take things from—it’s where you take them to.»

PRACTICE

I can't really say I am good at drawing, either at paper or digital drawing. During my years as a student I developed a drawing-style that I've used in basically every project where I wanted to create something by hand. After I got the Paper-App for iPad I have really enjoyed working digital, and therefore my Bamboo tablet has become my best friend again. I am experimenting and learning new stuff, and I'm not saying it looks great, but at least I'm doing it - right?

Practice isn't the thing you do when you're good.
It's the thing you do that makes you good.

WE FUCKED UP

My latest addition to life with decorations and framed photos. This is a speech from the TV-series; Misfits and are performed by my favourite character, Nathan (Robert Sheehan).

Lately I have fallen back in love with my Wacom Bamboo-tablet, and therefore I have of course used it on this image. The handwriting is mine, while the bold font is based on Univers Black Oblique. Univers is also one of my many boyfriends within type. Have great week and enjoy screwing something up!

THE BLOGGER

I used to be able to call myself a blogger. It seems like it all changed when I moved back to Norway, stopped studying and got an iPhone 4S. It seems like I am blaming something else, when really, it is all about me.
