APPLE BABY

I became a Mom almost over night! It is official, I have my own Apple-baby as of April 1st. I am now titled Store Manager at Humac Åsane, and that just feels great. This time I didn't climb the ladder of "success", I jumped – and I am proud of that. Of course I am prepared for oh so much work in the time to come, but as you might have noticed, that's the way - aha aha - I like it.

My complete dream job in life has always been to work in an Apple Store or  Premium Reseller. I am there, and it couldn't feel any better. Now, just wish me luck everybody, I will probably break a leg or five.

APPLE HQ

If someone is asked to describe me, "down to earth" is the one phrace that I can be sure will NEVER be used. I wish I could be more down to earth, to be more "here" and aware, but when you put me in the headquarters of Apple Norway, I will be, as my colleague said; "so enthusiastic it's annoying!"

Being called a fan-girl is something I am used to, and when people need my help for "computer stuff" that isn't Apple, I get annoyed. I only know and love Apple, because it is all I have ever needed. And I simply don’t understand how others are able to keep themselves together when visiting a place like Apple HQ.

4 DAYS 'TIL MAGENTA

For real you guys, there is one thing going on in my head right now and that is the opening of our new store! Watching these videos actually make me cry because I am so excited about this Friday! It's going to be insane. I am also a bit scared of all the things I don't know yet as this is a brand new kind of job for me. All I can do now is prepare, research anything people might ask me and hope to god that I don't cry during the opening.

HUMAC

I GUESS THE CAT'S OUT OF THE BAG

I very recently got a job at Humac, Norway's largest Apple Premium Reseller. It will open for the first time on the west side of our country here in Bergen and I will be a part of this. WOW!

This is by far my absolute dream job! I have always loved Apple products, loved sharing this passion with others and been a complete nerd in any way. At least that's what I thought – until I met the team I'll be working with. Man, what a gang we will be!

People from very different backgrounds, with so much knowledge I could faint. The first day in training we sat and just talked about all the Apple products and Mavericks for three hours, which was so much fun! This is the most exciting thing that has ever happened to me, and I can't wait for the rest of the week and the rest of my life to just happen, right now!

YELLOW FELLOW

Last week we went completely nuts at work and I spent almost every awaken hour there. Here are the last images from Elleville Dager at Åsane Storsenter, well represented by ladies all dressed up in Mills.

Someone tried to capture the moment when my huge fanclub came over, asking for some hugs.

These two photos has been all over Facebook the last couple of days. Created by the amazing Gia Nguyen! Thank you, Gia.

On a completely different topic; did you hear that OS X Mavericks is free?!

101 / 26 401

101 unread e-mails and 26 401 photos to sort through. I am the kind of person who goes nuts when someone has twenty unread e-mails, and here I am with a three-digit-number. Most of my photos are shot in RAW, which means they take up ALL my space. Apparently Apple decided to put in some sort of block in iPhoto so I no longer can just copy and backup all images here. Oh no, I have to find the original folder, sort out which photos are which, and do ALL my photo-organising one more time. This is hell, I mean, seriously Apple?!

Of course I also use Time Machine to backup everything, but that is more for extra security. The photos and design I create gets backed up "manually" as well. As you may have guessed, I lost everything I had twice; once on a PC, once on Mac. I have been a backup-freak since then.

What I am trying to say is that I am stuck with a bullcrap-huge amount of backing up, reading and deleting - jobs, so both blogging and having a fun Internet-summer seems like something far into the future. Because now, I have to go delete some files.

(And may I?)

CLEAR

Since I got my first iPhone, I have tried a few to do-apps; ToDo, ForgetTheMilk, AwesomeNote, ShopShop, iStudiez, Wunderlist, Wunderkit and of course Apple's Reminders. I started using Reminders with iOS5 and Siri and was very pleased with it; the cloud sync with all my devices, it was easy to use and the fact that it could remind me of stuff at different places was plain awesomeness. Then came iOS6 and fucked it all up.

Apple changed one thing in the app, ONE, but that was it for me. You could no longer switch between the different lists by just using one finger, which meant you needed both hands to use the app. In lazy 2012, that is just not right. A friend told me about Clear, and it was not long before the Reminders app was removed from the first page on my iPhone. I have a new friend now.

Clear is just another proof that the simplest things are the best - or in this case; the simplest apps are the best. It looks great, is almost too easy to use and does nothing more than what it is supposed to. Clear is the next big to do-app!

Of course I found a little video to show you how it works;

Enjoy and get things done!

FORCE

Well well... After enjoying my iPhone 3G S for three years I decided to enjoy a 4S for a while. My dad and I call it iPhone FORCE, because of the sound of the name as well as the awesomeness of the phone...

I also bought this awesome iPhone cover, designed by Felicia Atanasiu. It is a lion, just like my zodiac. I absolutely LOVE the iPhone already and can't stay away from it, which means you can follow me on Twitter and Instagram to get your daily spam! See you there!
